Moderating for OLLI has added a great deal to my life for the past six years.

The moderators who lead OLLI classes are volunteers who share their knowledge, passions, and hobbies with the OLLI community of lifelong learners. We are looking for moderators in all fields of knowledge from art to zoology and everything in between.
PROPOSALS FOR WINTER 2027 ARE NOW OPEN! DEADLINE: OCTOBER 9, 4PM!
Winter Term Dates: January 25-March 19 (8 weeks)
Please select the form that is appropriate to your class proposal.
- MULTIWEEK (meets 2 or more weeks) either at the established class times at an OLLI location or at times, dates, and location that you organize.
- ONE-TIME (1.25 hour slot) 12:45-2pm on established days and locations and suitable for a large audience. All others use the Miscellaneous form.
- ONE-TIME (2 - 2.5 hour slot) 9:30am-12pm or 1-3pm on established days and locations and suitable for a large audience. All others use the Miscellaneous form.
- MISCELLANEOUS (field trips, other) classes, tours, field trips that fall outside OLLI's usual hours and/or locations.
OLLI at UC is rolling out a new course model: Learn and Do. These classes transform information into community impact within the structure of the class.
An example of a "Multiweek Course" Learn and Do could be 6 weeks in the classroom to learn about and plan a service project, then 2 weeks outside of the classroom and in the community to execute the project.
An example of a “Special Program” Learn and Do could be a visit to a local nonprofit for a talk, followed by a service opportunity within the same visit.
